Supplies

Tube of choice - I am using the artwork of Deacon Black which I purchased from CILM before it closed but am still trying to find out where his tubes are available at the moment!
Scrapkit I am using is by Gothic Inspirations called 'Feeling Lucky' which you can find here
Fonts - 'Kells Uncial' and 'Celtic' for the wordart, 'Cupiedoll' for your name
all are available to downlaod from free font sites if you google them!
Plugins - eye candy gradient glow
A little quickie
Open a new image 650x600 floodfill white
Copy & paste the frame from the kit as a new layer
using your selection tool set to rectangle, draw around the frame just slightly smaller
add a new raster layer and floodfill black, drag below the frame layer
copy the crystal curtain and paste as a new layer, position at top of frame, invert and delete
select none
Now paste your tube of choice as a new layer, position and drop shadow
copy the doodle from the kit, resize by 65% and position above the black floodfilled layer, move to the side, duplicate and merge down, duplicate again and flip
Copy the charmchain and paste as a new layer above the frame layer, resize and position along top of frame, sharpen & drop shadow, duplicate & flip, move into position at bottom of frame
resize the clover1, copy & paste as a new layer, position at bottom of tag below the charm chain and use your deform tool to turn it slightly, sharpen & drop shadow, duplicate, image mirror
copy the clover2, resize and position on the cauldron, change the opacity to screen
Hide background layer & merge visible all layers, resize by 90% and crop
Using the Kells font and dark green as background colour, type the word 'Twice' apply a yellow or orange gradient glow and add noise at uniform 30
now change to the celtic font and type 'as Lucky' apply same gradient glow and noise and move below the first word (see tag above)
resize the pipe from the kit and position below your words, sharpen & drop shadow
add your name using cupiedoll font and apply a white gradient glow and a drop shadow
add any copyright info and save as a Png!

Open a new image in PSP and floodfill white
copy & paste element 37 as a new layer
using your selection tool set on rectangle, draw a rectangle around the frames
copy paper12 and paste as a new layer, drag below the frame layer and position
selection invert and delete, do not deselect yet
copy a close-up of your tube and paste as a new layer, position how you want it to appear within the frame and then hit delete again, go back to your tube image and mirror it, copy and paste as a new layer, position again within the frames and hit delete, select none
merge down the 2 tube layers and change the opacity to dodge
add a drop shadow to the frame 1 1 70 5 black
hide the background layer and merge visible all layers, duplicate,
unhide background and move the duplicate layer below the first one, mirror,
merge these 2 layers and duplicate
on the bottom layer apply a gaussian blur at 15 and merge these 2 layers
Copy & paste element 46, using your magic wand click inside all the frames and expand by 7
add a new raster layer & floodfill with a colour from your tube
drag below frame layer, paste some close-up images of your tube again, invert and delete
change the opacity of the tube layers to multiply, apply above drop shadow to frame
merge these layers together and move below the main frame layer to the side
merge down these layers
Add your main tube and drop shadow 5 5 70 11 black
add some elements from the kit and colourise to match your tube using the hue & saturation tool
apply a new raster layer above the background layer, select all
copy & paste Paper5 into selection, colourise and select none
apply your mask to the paper layer, delete & merge group
hide background and merge visible
resize and crop your tag
add your name & copyright info
delete the background layer & save as a Png!

OK - open a new image in PSP 650x650 floodfill white
copy & paste element 11
click in the centre of the frame and expand by 10
add a new raster layer & floodfill black, drag below the frame layer
now copy & paste your tube as a new layer, invert & delete, select none
lower the opacity of your tube layer
copy & paste the sparkles, 18 and place over your tube layer, resize to suit
resize element 5 and position at bottom, apply a black gradient glow
copy & paste the bow, 12, resize and apply same gradient glow, position
resize element 31 and colourise to suit your tube using the hue & saturation tool, sharpen more
position at top of frame
using white as your background colour, foreground nul, type the words 'in the Air' and apply a black gradient glow again, position below the wordart
you can use any element of choice from the kit to decorate your tag
when happy, hide background layer & merge visible, resize by 85% and sharpen
unhide background layer & crop
paste your tube again and position to the side, drop shadow 5 5 70 11 black
Apply a mask using a paper from the kit or floodfill a new raster layer
Type your name and add your copyright info
delete background layer & save as a Png

resize the cupcakes, sharpen and position
copy & paste the butterfly, resize & sharpen
Using a colour of choice type your words of choice and position them on the heart
add a new raster layer above the background layer, select all
Copy & paste paper 10 into selection, select none
Apply your mask, delete & merge group
duplicate & flip, use your deform tool to position the mask layer
type your name and apply a gradient glow

OK - this is a quick and easy tut

Open a new image in PSP 650x650 floodfill white

Open element 37 from the kit, resize by 50% and copy & paste as a new layer

copy & paste your tube, position and drop shadow

5 5 70 11 black

resize element 63, paste as a new layer above the heart layer and sharpen more

drop shadow 0 0 50 5

duplicate and mirror

copy the red and black roses, 10 & 15, resize to suit and position at bottom, see tag above

Type the words True Blood, or your words of choice using the 'bloody' font

apply a light gradient glow & drop shadow 2 3 67 7 black

Copy element 81, paste as a new layer above the background layer

resize so it sits nicely around tour heart frame

use your eraser frame to erase the bottom of the heart

apply a new raster layer above background layer, select all

copy & paste Paper 08 into selection, select none

apply your mask - delete and merge group

add your name using the romerati font and drop shadow as before

I used my paint brush to apply some red splodges over the tag

Resize and crop your tagadd your copyright info and save as a Png

resize all layers and add your copyright info

If you wish to animate...

there's probably an easier way to do this but this is how I do it

merge visible all layers below the frame and hide

now merge visible all layers above the frame

unhide the bottom layer and copy & paste into animation shop as a new animation

duplicate until you have 10 layers

open the snow animation & resize by 80%

click on your original animation and select all

click on the snow, select all & copy

click back on the original animation and paste into selected frame

position the snow in centre and then release your mouse

go back to PSP and copy merged the top layers - back to ani shop

paste as a new animation, duplicate until you have 10 layers, select all, copy

go to main animation and paste into selected frame

move into position and release the mouse

view your animation so you can see what it looks like

if happy save as a gif

now type the words Lonely this Christmas and apply a gradient glow twice using white and then a light blue from the tag

position your words how you like them

now repeat these steps with the bottom frame using Paper 4

I colourised the layers using adjust hue & saturation at 211 & 159

add a drop shadow to the frame layer 0 0 70 5 black

copy & paste your tube as a new layer, position in the bottom frame and erase any overhang, drop shadow your tube 5 5 70 9

copy & paste your wordart of choice from the kit, colourise to suit

using the Halloween 2 font, add a few doodles around the tag

type your name & add a gradient glow

Add a new raster layer above the background layer & select all

copy & paste Paper 4 into selection, select none

Apply your mask, delete & merge group

resize tag to your liking and add your copyright info

delete background layer & save as a Png

OK - open a new image 600x600 floodfill white

add a new raster layer & select all

copy a paper of choice from the kit & paste into selection, select none

copy the grave and resize by 75% twice, image mirror & apply a drop shadow of choice

Paste your tube as a new layer and position, drop shadow

resize the moon and position behind the grave

copy the lightning layer and position over the grave, resize

I used my freehand selection tool with feather set at 25 to remove the sharp edge

just draw around the edge and hit delete a few times, select none

resize the bat and spider, position the bat in the moon and the spider on the web

resize the cat by 50% and position at bottom of grave

apply a gradient glow to the cat using a colour from your tag

resize the tombstone & position

hide background layer & merge visible

resize by 85% and apply xero porcelain at default settings

unhide background

add your words of choice and apply a gradient glow

do the same with your name

add any copyright info

delete background layer & save as a Png

OK - Open a new image 600x600 floodfill white

add a new raster layer and select all

copy a paper of choice from the kit & paste into selection, select none

apply your mask, delete & merge group

Copy & paste the fireplace fromthe kit, resize by 80% and sharpen

copy the roses (28) and position on top of fireplace, resize and sharpen

copy & paste your tube, drop shadow and position to side

copy frame 13, click inside with magic wand & expand by 3

copy Paper 9, resize by 50% and paste as a new layer

position within the frame, invert & delete, sharpen more

move the paper layer below the frame

copy your tube again and paste as a new layer, position within the frame and hit delete again, select none, lower the opacity to 65 and change the layer setting to difference

merge these 3 layers together, resize if necessary and position

Now add your elements of choice from the kit, there are so many to choose from

Type your words of choice using a red colour from the tag, apply a black gradient glow and then a white gradient glow, do the same with your name

Open up a new image in PSP 600x600 floodfill white

add a new raster layer and select all

Open background 03 from the kit, copy & paste into selection, select none

apply mask, delete & merge group, duplicate & merge down

Resize the scarecrow and paste as a new layer, sharpen

resize & paste the pumpkins as a new layer & position at bottom, sharpen

copy & paste your tube, resize if necessary and drop shadow 5 5 70 11 black

copy the signpost, resize by 30% and paste as a new layer

using the dropper tool, select an orange shade from the pumpkins and use as your background colour, foreground nul, type your words, position & convert to raster layer

drop shadow the words layer 2 3 70 5 black and merge down onto the signpost

move the signpost below the pumpkins and use your deform tool to turn slightly

add one of the bats from the kit, resize & position

Type your name using the same orange shade and apply a black gradient glow, drop shadow as before, duplicate and on the duplicate layer adjust blur gaussian blur 6

add your copyright info

delete background layer & merge visible

save as a Png!

Open a new image in PSP 600x600 floodfill white

Using your preset shape tool set on rectangle, foreground nul, background black

draw out a rectangle like mine above, convert to raster layer

duplicate twice and move into position placing each one slightly lower than the previous one

select the first rectangle, select all, float, defloat - copy your first tube and paste as a new layer

resize if necessary and position within the rectangle, invert and delete, select none

lower the opacity to around 55 and apply xero porcelain at default settings

repeat this step with the other 2 rectangles

now click on the rectangle layers and apply a gradient glow using a colour from your tube

I used red and applied a gradient glow to the 2 outside rectangles only

Using the filmstrip font, foreground & background both black, type the word 'HOT'

position at bottom of first rectangle and duplicate twice, move them into position as above

now apply a gradient glow using the same colour you used previously

I applied a pink glow to the middle one to match the tube

using the prairie dog font, foregound nul, background the colour from your gradient glow - type the word 'Stuff' and apply a black gradient glow - position on the tag beside the words

hide background layer & merge visible all layers

resize and crop

unhide background & add a new raster layer above it

floodfill black, apply mask, delete & merge group

add a new raster layer and floodfill with the colour you used for your glow

apply mask again, delete, merge group and resize by 95%

lower the opacity of the close-ups to around 65 and apply texture, blinds at

the colour is not important as you can't see it once you have added the tubes

add a drop shadow to the frames of 5 5 70 5 black

now click inside each frame in turn, expand by 3 and add your tube

move into position how you want it to look, selections, invert, delete

move the tube layer below the frame and select none

apply xero to your tube layer, I used soft mood, radiance and porcelain, play about with the settings to get them how you want

when you are happy, hide background layer & merge visible all other layers

unhide background and add a new raster layer above it, select all

Copy Paper 5 from the kit & paste into selection, select none

apply mask, delete & merge group, resize by 90% and position

add noise to mask layer at uniform 40

resize the wordart 'believe' and paste as a new layer, sharpen & add a light drop shadow

copy & paste butterfly 8, resize & sharpen and turn slightly using the deform tool

resize element 3, position to the side just below the top frame

copy the feather 11, resize and position over the green flower

copy flower 28, resize and position over the feather

sharpen all elements and drop shadow the 2 flowers and butterfly

OK - Open a new image in PSP 600x600 floodfill white

Copy & Paste element 30 from the kit as a new layer

(I colourised all the elements to match the tube using the hue & saturation tool)

click inside the inner frame with magic wand and expand by 6

Copy Paper 8 and paste as a new layer, resize by 75%, selection, invert, delete

drag the paper layer below the frame

copy & paste element 1 as a new layer, resize and hit delete again, select none & sharpen

Paste your tube as a new layer & position, add a drop shadow 5 5 70 9

Copy element 13, resize and position below the tube layer to the right

copy & paste element 28, resize & position to the left side

sharpen both elements & drop shadow 0 0 50 5

Resize the star 11 and paste as a new layer, position at top and duplicate

move into position, sharpen & merge down

add noise to the stars layer at uniform 40

Add a new raster layer above background layer & select all

copy & paste Paper 7 into selection, select none

apply mask, delete & merge group

add noise at uniform 40

Add your name & apply a white gradient glow

drop shadow 0 0 50 5

Resize element 42, sharpen and position over the frame

copy & paste element 33, resize & sharpen and position

add a bow of choice and place at the top

Copy & paste some roses from the kit, resize & position at bottom

sharpen and drop shadow elements 0 0 50 5

Hide white background layer & merge visible all other layers

resize by 85%, sharpen and apply xero porcelain at default settings

crop your tag & unhide background

Add a new raster layer above background layer and select all

That time of year again!!!

It happens this time every year - I dread it and you would think I would know how to cope by now, but no...I always panic, lol......this year is even worse because I now have Ozzy - it is driving my pup crazy!!! I have mice ...again.....coming in from the cold and infesting my home....I hate it, they are so cute but at the same time not very hygenic to have around the home, so I am looking for ideas on how to get rid of them? Last year I found these little plastic boxes with some substance inside them that made them very lethargic and easy to catch....I tried to buy them this year but they have stopped selling them apparently...tonight I have put down glue traps which I know is very cruel - the last time I used them a few years ago I actually cried every time a mouse got stuck on them but I have never had any luck with plain old mouse traps! My pup is staying awake all night and keeping us all from our well needed beauty sleep - so any tried and tested methods of mouse catching will be much appreciated!!!

OK - Open a new image in psp 600x600 floodfill white

Add a new raster layer and select all

Copy Paper2 and paste into selection, select none

Apply mask, delete & merge group, add noise at uniform 45

Copy & paste the parcels, 11 & 12, resize & duplicate a few times, resizing again

position along the bottom, overlapping eachother, merge the parcels together, sharpen & drop shadow 0 0 50 5

Copy element 13, resize and sharpen and position above the parcels, duplicate & mirror

Resize element 9 and position at the top, sharpen more

paste your tube as a new layer and position so it looks like she is laying on the parcels

add a drop shadow of choice - I used 5 5 70 9

resize the ribbon 17 and place on the parcels layer, sharpen & drop shadow

copy element 7, rezize and paste as a new layer above the mask layer

resize element 19 and position above this layer, sharpen

Add the bauble (14) and the moon (21), resize and position

sharpen both elements and drop shadow 0 0 35 5

Resize the snowflake 18 sharpen & duplicate a few times, position around the tag

Add the wordart and your name

resize tag & crop to your liking

add any copyright info, delete background layer & save as a Png!

Add a new raster layer and select all

copy element 13 and paste into selection, select none

resize by 85%

Copy & paste element5 as a new layer, resize by 50% and duplicate

move the duplicate layer so it sits on top, merge down and sharpen

use your deform tool to turn so it is almost vertical, duplicate

on the bottom layer turn slightly to the left using deform tool

merge down

Copy element8, resize, sharpen and position

add a light drop shadow 0 0 50 5

resize element1 and position, sharpen

copy & paste element3, resize and place at top

sharpen and dropshadow as above

resize element 7, shrpen and place at side

add your tube and drop shadow 5 5 70 11

type your words of choice using the Jilly Bean font and position on tag

add a new raster layer above the background layer, select all

Copy playing card 42, resize & paste as a new layer, position and turn slightly using your raster deform tool, sharpen & apply same drop shadow, duplicate

on the bottom layer use your deform tool to turn it slightly in the opposite direction

Add your tube, position in the middle of frames and drop shadow 5 5 70 9

copy the glass 2, resize and sharpen, position

copy & paste one of the hats,I used 07, resize and place to the side of the glass

turn slightly with the deform tool, sharpen & drop shadow

resize the dice 40 and place at bottom of playing cards, sharpen twice and drop shadow

Add the black cat 25, resize and position on corner of frames, sharpen

resize the roses 46 and 47 , sharpen more, drop shadow & position at bottom of frame

I also added the heart 36 and positioned behind the playing cards

Hide white background layer and merge visible all other layers

resize by 85% and crop

unhide background and add a new raster layer above it, select all

Copy Paper 6 and paste into selection, select none

apply mask, delete and merge group, duplicate and mirror, flip

merge these 2 mask layers together, add noise at uniform 40

Copy element 45, resize by 50% and position above mask layer, sharpen & duplicate

image mirror, image flip and move into position

This is a real quickie tut

open Kat's template, change the background colour to white

click on the purple frame backgrounds and select all, float, defloat

copy your tube of choice and paste as a new layer

position in the top frame then selections, invert, delete

paste your tube again and resize, position in the other top frame, hit delete

mirror your tube and paste as a new layer - position in bottom frame, delete

in the top tube layers, change one of them to screen

on the other top tube layer apply xero porcelain at default settings

on bottom tube layer apply xero radiance default settings

using the murro font - type out 'and don't you forget it'

position in the tag box and rotate using your deform tool

using the kingthings font, type the word Remember

position at top of tag to the left

then type 'my name' and apply a white gradient glow

add your name and apply a gradient glow

hide background and resize to your liking

add any copyright info

delete bakground layer & save as a png!
